We left Souris mid morning and continued along the Red Coat Trail west to HWY-21 north back to the Trans-Canada HWY-1 where we turned west to Saskatchewan, Regina would be our goal but not directly.
Continuing along the Trans-Canada to Moosomin, we stopped at Tim Horton’s to buy a drink. From Moosomin we turned north towards Rocanville, this is where we would see the World’s largest Oil Can.
After a quick sightseeing stop, we continued west. Catherine wanted to travel through the Qu’Appelle Valley, we would have to travel in a northerly direction, then straight west through the valley.
We passed several very large Potash facilities along our route near Esterhazy.
Can you spot the very large earth mover truck in the next photo, the wheels on these trucks can be as large as 10ft/3M tall.
At Stockholm we turned south then west again into the Qu’Appelle Valley where we would follow along the north side of the lakes. We came out of the Qu’Appelle Valley at HWY-47 north to find a place for the night, staying in a small town called Neudorf, they have a small Lions Park which accommodates a couple of rigs. We walked into town for a self tour before watching a nice sunset.
Next morning, we continued west towards Regina, stopping along the way at Balcarres for a quick photo.
From here we continued crossing the Qu’Appelle Valley stopping in the valley bottom at Fort Qu’Appelle for lunch. From here we took our time to travel to Regina, arriving mid afternoon. We parked at the Wascana Park located in the river valley and went for a walk around the Wascana Lake. This would take us past the Saskatchewan Legislative Building.
Next up, it was time for some refreshments as it was a hot day. We headed into the ‘Old Warehouse’ district as quite a few of the old warehouses had be converted into trendy restaurants and stores, there are a couple of Craft Beer Breweries here also. This is where we found The District Brewing Company and sampled a couple of their products.
From here we went for some dinner then to our chosen spot for the night near the Saskatchewan Science Center. Next morning, we went back down to the warehouse district for some brunch and continued to see the sights using a local self-guided tour app. Upon completion of our tour early in the afternoon we came across The Warehouse Brewing Company. We tried a couple of their beers and then purchased a few for later consumption.
From Regina we travelled to Moose Jaw where we arrived early evening. 
Along the way we detoured to Briercrest as Catherine wanted to see this town in the middle of nowhere. The reason for going there was this is where here grandmother arrive by train from India, via England sometime after WW1 to meet up with her father who was the local doctor.
In Moose Jaw we stayed at the Visitors Centre where the World’s Tallest Moose resides.
Moose Jaw is also known for its tunnels. In the 1920’s Al Capone and others would bootleg from here to Chicago, they developed underground tunnels between the various buildings so as not to attract attention from the law with their activities. We toured the tunnels about 5 years ago.
Next day, we met up with some friends we had not seen in 15 years for lunch downtown, before heading to Swift Current for the night.
