After our week in the timeshare and saying goodbye to Kit, Joe, Lew & Elizabeth we decided it was time to start heading north.

Kit, Joe, Lew & Elizabeth.

First stop was some Hot Springs (Agua Caliente) at El Chorro where we camped for a night. In the morning after taking a hike up stream for a few kilometers, we soaked in the hot springs for a while, they were not very hot, we then travelled to Los Barriles, again.

There were some interesting rocks in the river bed.

Some of the cactus had funny tops or were in bloom.

On the way to Los Barriles we passed through El Triunfo were we stopped for a self tour, this was once a mining town and was in the process of being restored as a historic town.

We stayed at Baja Sunrise in Los Barriles for a couple of night exploring the town and wandering the beaches in both directions.
From here we drove to La Paz to restock then went out to Playa Tecolote again.

We were camped next to Henry & Jane for four nights. While there we were joined by John & Sue from Tiggers Travels for a couple enjoyable of days. Stewart had been following their journey from England through Asia to Malaysia in their Syncro Westfalia, where they shipped to Vancouver, Canada last year and travelled the north. You can read about there adventures at:

Jon, Sue & Tigger

On the Sunday we were invaded by locals from La Paz for a day bat the beach.

They even managed to squeeze in between our vehicles and have a picnic out of their truck.

From Tecolote we went back La Paz to restock and camped at Maranatha, do laundry and use the internet for a night where we found Jim, Sue and Rosie(dog). They had been there for five weeks, since we left them at Playa Tecolote a month or so earlier, as Sue had been ill but was feeling much better and were readying to leave for a slow drive back to British Columbia. That evening Sue & Jim received the news that they were going to be grandparents and were ecstatic.
