We left Antigua and headed south towards El Salvador, stopping about 50kms/30miles before the border, we knew we could stay at this location along the highway that had 24hr security. We parked and went for dinner at a local restaurant, while there parking lot started filling up which surprised us, as it turns out there
We left El Paraiso and headed towards Semuc Champey, this was going to be a long drive and it was already mid afternoon, we drove till around 6pm and found a Gas Station and Restaurant that had 24hr security that allowed us to stay there in their parking area. We had dinner in the restaurant
We left Flores and continued south to Rio Dulce, located at the east end of Lago de Izabel as it narrows down to the river which flows out to Amatique Bay near Livingston. We found a nice place to stay at Mar Marina, complete with swimming pool where we hung out for a few days.
We left Chetumal around 7am and headed to the Mexico/Belize border where we had no problems getting our visa’s and our vehicle permit etc. to transit Belize. This time we had no intention of stopping in Belize, other than to have some brunch along the road. We stopped in again at Cheers restaurant where we
